Hello,
Has anyone set up a Pricing Rule which does the following:
When a Purchaser is places a second Performance (Aux Item) in their Cart, the Performance (Aux Item) that has the lowest Original Price is then Discounted?
We do not want the entire Order to be discounted, and we need for the lower priced Performance (Aux Item) to be selected as the Cart Item that's discounted.
Is.
This.
Possible.
Thanks!
Hi Kevin,I believe I figured it out!Using the Product Only Type I set up the Pricing Rule the following way:General- Apply Rule Once Per Order Only = Checked- Mode = Price Change Action- Discount Amount = 20.00- Is Percent = CheckedCriteria- All Performances for a specific Season are selected- The one (1) single Price Type that applies to all of the selected Performances is selected- Apply the rule to a maximum of 1 seatsThis is what I set up, tested it and it did in fact discount only one (1) of the Performances in the Order, which is what I needed for it to do. While via TNEW we cannot choose which is to be discounted, this alternative method will work for us for this Semester. To clarify here is the simplest way the Discount is described to our Customers: "Purchase more than one (1) Class in an Order and receive a 20% Discount off of one (1) Class within that Order." There is additional text regarding the fact that they cannot choose which Class is discounted and the discount may not be combined with other Offers, but for the purposes of what you were asking me to clarify, this statement covers it.If you see any pitfalls with this method, please feel free to let me know.Thank you for your help!Jolene RobichaudDatabase ManagerImagination Stage910-302-7072jrobichaud@imaginationstage.orgwww.imaginationstage.org On Tue, Jul 19, 2016 at 11:33 AM, Kevin Sheehan <bounce-kevinsheehan4372@tessituranetwork.com> wrote: It depends on the rule type you are using. A better understanding of the scenario will help me figure out if there’s a way pricing rules can make it happen.
