I pulled a list of performances up in Season Maintenance today and a handful of them displayed in red text. I've never seen this before. Have you? What does it mean?

You were all, of course, quite correct! I had checked the MOS's and the status, but hadn't actually checked the check box. Someone had checked them erroneously.
