Default Source Code - Box Office sales

Dear all

Is it possible to put in a default source code in the Ticket Order window when you make a new order? I know that this is not a standard feature in Tessitura, but maybe some of you have triggered the system to to so? In our organisation the Box Office sell all tickets in the same source code, so this could be a great help for them.

    Hi Tom

    That could definitely be a good solution! In the moment I don't think we will invest in scanners put I will have it in the back of my mind for the future. The scanners might also be useful for other things :)

    Could you not against their Mode of Sale, not check the Clear Source No button, so at least they would only have to enter the correct source number the first time they made a booking. All orders after the first one would use the previous source code until the mode of sale was changed. 
    It doesn't help in the first instance, but would possible help after that.

    We have set the system not to clear the source code when making a new order, so that definitely helps a lot. The question about the default source code popped up in my team, because we would like to make a new appeal for the new season, which means that the staff need to type in a 5 digits source code instead of 1. And they change MOS a lot during the day :)

    Although we have not done this specific thing, you could setup a macro in a symbol scanner connected to your box office computer to respond to a specific bar code. The symbol scanner could be configured when it sees the bar code to open a new order and at the same time put in a specific source code you want to enter. The source code could actually be in the bar code itself.

    Just a random thought.

    Hi, Louise –

     

    You may be doing this already, but do check setup of the MOS that your staff are using. If you uncheck the “Clear Source No” tickbox, the source code you used for the previous order  will automatically populate the next new order. Which means that, in theory, your staff only have to enter it once at the beginning of the day!
