Exclude from subscription rollover

Hi,

What's the best way to exclude someone from a subscription rollover?

We had a customer in last years subscription that had returned all their seats. I thought they would not be picked up in the rollover but they were.

Does anyone have a good process for excluding people who do not want to get included in the next season?

thanks, Dara

  • Hi Dara,

I think it depends on if you want them to be able to renew their seats in a future season, or if you’re done with them for good.  If you’re done with them, I’d return their base seats, so that when you do rollover, there’s nothing for them to roll from/into!

    Cheers,

    Kathleen

  • We use a couple of methods to ensure that we don’t rollover.

    -          We return the base seats if possible.

    -          We use the Sub Summary Type of Non-Renewable and make sure that our rollover list doesn’t include patrons with this Sub Summary Type.

You can always manually remove these records from your lists, but there’s a bit more room for error doing that. The Sub Summary Type is generally our catch all.

    Hope this helps!

    Karen

  • Thanks very much Kathleen, Karen for the replies.

That makes sense regarding the base seats and the Subs Summary type.
