Divorce in household

There has got to be an easy way to remove an individual from a household because of a divorce.  I've tried playing with the address as was suggested in another form but am still unable to figure out how to split a household.  Please help!

  • When these come across my desk, I always ask who gets "custody" of the financial transaction - tickets and contributions.   I make sure that person is A1.

Both names will need a primary address.   If the address is inherited from the household record, you will have to create a primary address for the A2 name.  If I don't have one, I use the inherited address and try to find out who got custody of the home address...not always easy to do.

Then you can Convert to Individual.
