dynamic pricing?

Who is doing dynamic pricing?  How is it working for you?  Do your patrons like it?

Anybody who has anything to say about this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Liz

We just started dynamic pricing with our last show.  It’s working well for us.  I don’t think any patron has really noticed, and we haven’t gotten any complaints so far.

We’ve been doing it for about a year and half.  No patrons have noticed.  What we have done is stick to our published prices, but just re-assign seats that used to be lower priced to the next higher price for the hot shows.  We’ve also gone the other way for low sales shows.

We're just starting our second season of doing dynamic pricing in our smaller venue (which is only one price scale as opposed to 5 in our larger venue).

We've gotten no complaints really, because we advertise our prices as "starting at" instead of listing a top price.  If people inquire, we state that "the price today is....." and let them know that the price for a particular performance may go up if demand warrants it.  People are usually fine with that.
