Hi everyone:
We're coming across an interesting situation I've not run across but I'm guessing there maybe others who have.
Our subscription season is CYO (4 or more at 15% off) and flex packages. Additionally, subscribers can purchase unlimited "add on" tickets at the same discount. One can purchase a child's package at $45 and be a subscriber.
Here's the challenge:
We've had several customers wanting to subscribe to our kids shows then purchase 30 tickets to a hot ticket show. Typically, single show purchases of 10+ are considered groups at a 10% discount. See the challenge?
I'm wondering if you've encountered anything similar and if you place limits on subscription add on tickets. I feel it's prudent to do so. Since our group sales are 10 or more, we should at least cap sub add ons at 9. If you purchase more you're considered a group and receive the 10% discount.
Would love to know what others have done.
Thank you!
Michelle
We take it on a case-by-case basis. If the patron is a long-time subscriber and/or donor, we will do it for them. Otherwise, we have a 9-ticket limit for sub purchases.

Hi Ellen:
Thank you! We do as well. We just had a large donor purchase 50 tickets to a single show and gave him a 20% discount so case by case is best. I'm always trying to set down as many solid procedures / policies as possible to make it easier for my front line staff.
Thank you again!
