Simplifying "Ancillary" Performances like Drinks/Programs et al?

Hello all,

Like many other orgs I have been assuming, the Australian Ballet creates separate Performances in order to print out programs vouchers and drink vouchers. These tend to clog up the product calendars, and generally get in the way.

Has anyone come up with any better solutions to this? It may be that unique Performances are the only solution if one wants to let these vouchers print out in batch prints, but hope springs eternal.

Cheers,

Nicholas

  • Emily,

We use lists in our batch sets for the day of batches. We have 4 venues with a possible matinee and evening performance at each venue. Therefore, we have 8 lists specifying the performance date = rundate, venue, order delivery set to HABO, Seat Status = Seated, Paid and time slot.

We then have 8 different HABO batch sets that have all performances selected. So in essence, the list grabs everyone with a seated, paid ticket for the matinee at this theatre and then because all performances are selected in the list in batch printing, it will print all of the tickets.

Your other option would be to always select the drink ticket performance in your performance list when you select today’s performance.

    Hello, all!

I'm going to reopen this conversation two years later hoping someone has found a solution to this issue. We're running to the same thing with drink vouchers and want to move into the 'one perfomance at the end of the year' route to allow for easy scanning.

The issue we're running into is with the Box Office and the way we do batch ticket printing. Basically, we need to find a way to pull in the drink voucher performance into day-of batch, as the voucher performance would live at the end of the fiscal. Any thoughts?

    Hi Nicholas,

In the past, I’ve built one performance at the end of the year (at 11.59pm) for programs, and another one for drinks, but I wasn’t concerned about capacity/inventory- although I could always run sales reports to let me know where I was at.  Could you go that basic?

Alas, for dining, I’ve got daily shows, and sometimes more than one…..

    Cheers,
    Kathleen

  • Thanks for the quick response, Michele!

To clarify, you use a combination of both the lists and the different HABO batch sets, or one or the other? In my example, the lists wouldn't catch the drink voucher performance, but the HABO batch set would - however, wouldn't it also catch any tickets in that order booked with any future performance?
