Hello...
I'm wondering how others handle donated seats for resell when it comes to reporting to the promoter, especially a Broadway show.
If you donte a seat does you ticket count go down by the number of seats donated and your money stay with the show? When the seats are resold does your ticket count go up by the number of seats sold and your money go up as well. And do you show this to the promoter?
Thanks for the feedback!
Ashley
We do not use the “Donate for Resale” functionality because we do not want our capacities to ever be “oversold”. We do allow tickets to be returned and then we put the money “On Account” for it to be applied by Devo. We do a lot of rentals and it is cleaner for us this way.

We are using the Donate for Resale function, so revenue remains as ticket income, but now the seat can be resold. We only use this for people who have physically handed us the tickets, so we know that they can't be "used" by a forgetful patron.

We are assessing how we handle donated tickets and are wondering how other companies process the transactions in Tessitura. Do you use the donate ticket feature, or do you return the seat and do something with the money? Do you consider the income ticket income or donation income?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Boann
