Generic Credit Card Error

We are a consortium and have several different payment method groups. I am in the process of setting up the Generic Credit Card payment for each group. The new payment methods work fine for me under System Admin controls but do not work for the users under their User group log ins or for me when I log in as one of their user groups. I have made sure that the Generic Credit Card method shares the correct and corresponding control group and payment method group so I don't know what control grouping that I must be missing. When selecting the Generic CC method we get teh following error:

No Valid payment method was found for account type 1 and payment method group 79 and use_with_credit_card_reader = "N'

Since it works fine when I am logged in as System Admin I believe the set up is correct. I must be missing something in the control grouping. Any ideas?

    I wish I could say we found a solution but we haven't yet and kind of dropped it for now. This has inspired me to look again. I'll let you know if we figure it out.

  • Janna,  you may need to create a support ticket to resolve the issue.  QA was able to reproduce the error message you noted when there was no resulting account type payment method of the same business unit as the generic card payment method.   Verify that the various credit card Payment Methods not only share a Payment Method Group but also a Business Unit.
