We are wondering if anyone has ever tied a specific hold code to a source code, so that once that source code is entered the seats under the hold code are available.
We have some seats we want to be available only to a certain set of patrons, at least upon our first on sale, and those patrons get a special promo code with an offer.
If you've ever made something like this work, how did you do it?

We have done this - our web developer created a local table called LTX_WEB_SOURCE_HC where we tie the source code to the hold code. It works much the same as allocations. There was some work as well to the website that needed to be made.
If you are looking for an out of the box solution, then allocations are the way to go.
