Please forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere but I was curious if anyone has had experience using the Order Import utility to import orders from another organization using Tessitura.
Are the imported orders able to be scanned with N-Scan? Are there potential duplicate ticket number errors?
We have a presenting partner who uses Tessitura and we haven't been able to scan their tickets and keep accurate attendance records and were hoping that this might solve those issues.

We're currently doing a co-production with another Tessitura organisation and importing their orders into our system.
Basically, the order import will duplicate the orders on our system, mirroring them on our system with new order numbers. We're printing and dispatching all of the tickets so that we can scan them with NScan as the tickets will use the ticket numbers on our system.
I'm not sure you'll be able to import the original ticket numbers as standard and creating NScan barcodes from those ticket numbers, but it might be possible with customisation.

The order import utility in V12.1 has the ability to import barcodes from another system. This would allow you, with a bit of setup, to bring over barcodes from another Tessitura organization and scan them in your system.
Search "External Barcodes" in the 12.1 Help system and click on the first link for more information.

Graeme, after posting this to the forum I read up a bit on the OI Utility and I must admit, the potential for duplication of constituents put me off quite a bit. Though it did make sense that there wouldn't be an issue with the duplication of ticket numbers.
The major issue here is that our partner not only sells their own tickets, but they print and mail/hand them out to their patrons. We wouldn't want to have to punish patrons for purchasing through their box office by forcing them to be HABO. I suppose we could do a daily/weekly import and push the mail/habo services to our office, but it still seems like a cumbersome customer experience.
David, thanks for pointing that feature of v12.1 out! We're currently in the midst of upgrading and that seems like it would solve our problems with a touch more finesse than the OI Utility.
Just to be clear, the external barcodes can come from any ticketing system as well as older versions of Tessitura, correct?
