Hi,

As long as I've been here we've always had the 'Must Be Ticketed' checkbox ticked for our Online mode of sale.

I'm not quite sure why this, but it's becoming rather problematic with exchanges. We reserve dining places online which are not ticketed productions and come off sale earlier than our performances meaning that when attempting to transfer the order it may not be possible to reselect these places.

Are other venues using the 'Must be ticketed' check box, does anyone know of any negative impact it would have from unticking this?

    “Must Be Ticketed” means that whenever a transaction happens on the order, any unprinted tickets must be printed. It sounds like it is the case that the web API does not care about this setting when placing an order.

    So I think that may be a misconfiguration on your system — we have “Must Be Ticketed” selected only on our "show walk-up sales" MOS.

    Maybe this changes with PAHT, but we don’t use that so I don’t know. Your online orders will still be ticketed whenever you do your regular batch ticket printing process for mail or will call — it doesn’t really make sense to have “must be ticketed” selected on any MOS used to create orders for tickets that will be batch printed. If that setting was respected by the API (like it is for your staff doing exchanges), you would never have any of those orders to batch print.
