This is perhaps a feature request, but I wanted to float the question of whether there is a way to accomplish what I want to do.
Basically, when I add a price layer to a performance, I want to begin with an exact copy of one of the already existing price layers. Then I'll change prices and start/end dates. But things like default gl codes, specific price type gl codes, default/specific designations, default ticket design seem like they should stay the same 90% of the time.
The specific thing I'm trying to accomplish is to create a layer for each performance (called "Day of Show") which adds a specific amount to each price, say $2, starting on the day of the performance. I don't want to have to dig through our long lists of gl codes, designations, ticket designs, etc when setting up the layer. Ideally I'd want to be able to have a one button "copy" that would just create a duplicate of the current layer, just asking for a new layer type. Or it would be nice if, when creating a new layer, the defaults were set to whatever the previously created layer for that performance was.
But is there a way to get this to happen, or something close to it, using the currently available tools?
Thanks,
Gawain
Gawain, could this be accomplished with a Price Event? You can find the documentation here:http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v12/Content/Ticket%20Pricing/Price%20Events.htm
