Hello Tessi-friends,
I am preparing for everyone’s favorite adventure, an off-site show. Here’s what I can do right now:
· I am able to connect to our Terminal Server from the computer in the venue’s ticket office.
· I am able to install one of our Boca printers on the computer in the venue’s ticket office.
· I am able to SEE the Boca printer in the remote desktop session.
Here’s what I can’t do right now:
· Select the Boca printer and print tickets in Tessitura.
Sad day, right? From what I can tell, the printer’s there, installed, and coming through on the RDP session. Tessitura just can’t use it. Any ideas?

What Operating System is the terminal server running?
If 2008 R2 or 2012 then:
If you look at the installed printers on the terminal server, do you see the BOCA on your local machine? Usually it will say "<printer name> redirected (number here)".
If you right click on that printer and go to printer properties, under advanced the drive should say Generic/Text only. If it says anything else, that would be the reason why it doesn't show up in Tessitura.
Windows 2012 and 2008 like to install this horrible Remote Desktop Easy Print Driver, which fouls everything up. You have to setup a GPO to disable the use of the Easy Print Driver or on the terminal server configure it to NOT use that driver when people connect and map printers.
