We're looking for a way to limit the number of seats for one performance online. Ideally this would be done without having to build an Offer, and without adjusting the System table which would effect all our shows and not just the intended one. Is this possible to do?

Hi Maurice,
You can either do that through Hold Codes or Allocation Codes.
Hold Codes are based on User Groups while Allocation codes on MOS. If you want to restrict seats in an offer, have more seats open to everyone else and use a unique MOS for offers, Allocation Codes are the way to go.
They are set up in Facility Manager and then assigned to performances in Season Manager.

Ideally the whole house will be open, we just want each user to only be able to buy one ticket. We could adjust the shopping cart to only drop down one seat, but we don't want this to effect our whole season, just this one performance.
Can this be done without setting up Allocations or an Offer? I tried to build an Offer and limit it there, but without a promo code prices didn't show up.
When you're building the offer you should be able to select (All Appeals) and (All Sources) meaning you shouldn't require a promo code. We do this frequently for some of our renters.

I think the way is building an offer. If it is imperative that the customer NOT enter a promo code, why not just embed the promo code in the URL from your main site, that way anyone can access it?
I see you use TNEW, so the URL from your main site linking to the performance would be http://sto.stanfordtickets.org/single/selectSeating.aspx?p=####&promo=offer (if the promo code was "offer")
Beth, you just blew my mind. I had no idea you could do this. I had to test this out in our test system to see it myself, and dang if it doesn't do exactly what you said. This has to be the best new thing I've learned in a long time.Thanks!
