Hi all,
We're having a really hard time with the 30 character limit on performance titles and it's becoming a huge issue at our organization. (Next season's performance of Alice Through the Looking Glass is becoming Alice Through the LookingGlass) I'm wondering if there are other organizations that deal with this same issue and what you've done to get around the problem. It seems every season we have at least one performance title longer than 30 characters and our Director's Office is rightfully getting annoyed with having to short form production names.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Jenny,
What do you use to print on the tickets then?

We abbreviate ours using shortened versions that are easy for the box office to see and use. So for yours, we might put Looking Glass or Alice or something shortened like that. Since that's not printing on tickets and we use separate fields for TNEW, it doesn't cause any problems for us.
