Performance Titles longer than 30 characters

Hi all,

We're having a really hard time with the 30 character limit on performance titles and it's becoming a huge issue at our organization. (Next season's performance of Alice Through the Looking Glass is becoming Alice Through the LookingGlass) I'm wondering if there are other organizations that deal with this same issue and what you've done to get around the problem. It seems every season we have at least one performance title longer than 30 characters and our Director's Office is rightfully getting annoyed with having to short form production names.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

  • Hi Michele,

If you go to TR_INV_CONTENT, you can create a field that is something “long perf name” or something. When you are building the performances, under titles tab, you can add that as a content piece and type the full name of the production there. You would then go to ticket design and that as an element field. The tickets, as they print, will then pull that information.

    I hope that helps.

    Chris
