Ticket Exchanges

Hi

I just wanted to get an idea of how other organisations are processing exchanges.
We currently offer exchanges free of charge and as such have no accurate way of tracking how many exchanges have been processed (we've run SQL queries to see how many tickets have been returned but this may be for other reasons than an exchange).

Are other people using a different Mode of Sale specifically for exchanges? Or a different price type? If so does this have a particular benefit other than being able to see immediately that tickets have been exchanged without trawling through CSIs?

Thanks,

Caspian

  • Hi Caspian!

We also have a separate MOS for exchanges, mostly so we can have fee rules apply and track number of tickets processed.

The added benefit is that we can restrict ticket returns in other MOS to give us accurate initial sale numbers to help estimate busy times in the Box Office, for example.

    Hope that helps!
