Do you have a Tessitura Guru-like position at your organization?

I'm curious to see if any organization has a specific job that is, for all intents and purposes, a Tessitura guru. Not someone who does the SQL and back end, but a trouble shooter who works inter-departmentally to insure Tessitura is being used to the best of its function. Someone who, for instance trains new users, coordinates lists and mailings/e-mails across departments, does set up for ticketed events/classes/anything that is sold, works between finance and ticketing/marketing to make sure things line up. And if you happen to have such a wiz, what is the title of this position?

Thanks

  • That was my role in my previous job… Technically, I was the Sales and Box Office Manager , but I did all ticketing setup, user training, complex extractions, all front-end configuration and system management, provided lots of advice on Membership and Campaign setup, and I had full rights to the databases (though most of the time I was just querying data and running simple jobs).  Basically, the only thing I *didn’t* do was technical upgrades!  Like others have said, it was a tremendously valuable experience as I was probably the only person who had a truly holistic view of Tessitura in the organisation!

    Cheers,

    Kathleen
