Voucher System

Hi All

We are currently looking for a way to set up for a customer to redeem a voucher for a ticket.

This needs to work regardless of the ticket value and also online. We have looked at many possibilities using gift certificates/special price types, but this does not seem to be a solution. We have come up with a few possibilities using vouchers that we could get printed, but these would not be redeemable online. The main problem we seem to have is that the gift certificate payment method is value based and what we are looking for is something that is per ticket based.

Does anyone know if there is any way in Tessitura to set up vouchers, that basically knock the value of a given ticket from the order?

Many Thanks,

Chris.

  • Hi Chris,

Yale has something very similar in place for Yale Rep and for the Cabaret and Summer Cabaret. All three theaters offer season vouchers where the customer pays up front for a certain number of vouchers and can redeem them throughout the season.

The original solution used gift certificates and price types, but the setup was pretty complicated. The team just launched TNEW at Yale and switched to selling the vouchers as packages and using a pre-cart customization to redeem them through exchanges. It's MUCH easier to set up now, and the flow for the customer works well.

I'd be happy to walk you through it or answer any questions. Feel free to email me directly.

    Thanks!
