Hi everyone. I remember that with the last change in time (daylight saving time) none of our scanners correctly updated their time. I went around and manually changed them all after the fact. We assumed it'd work automatically. Does anyone who uses these know if there's a way to make this work automatically like it does on PC's, for instance? These scanners are small PC's, for all intents and purposes, so it's odd they don't update...
Jonathan, when the time change happened on March 10, 2013 , our scanners got reset automatically. Any ideas ?

Just to chime in here and echo Sabina’s note: while the scanners will not automatically change time for DST, N-Scan itself makes no use whatever of the scanner’s date and time setting. The application queries the Tessitura database server whenever it is restarted and checks the server date, which is what it uses to determine which performances to load into its settings. Door open and close times are handled similarly- at the time a ticket is scanned, the time of the scan, again derived from the server, is compared against the open/close times for the performance to determine validity of entry.
So while changing times for DST is aesthetically pleasing, it’s by no means necessary.

Ours did, too, so no problems this time. :)
