Does anyone currently use or know of an organization that currently uses Tessitura in departments besides marketing, ticketing, development, admin, etc? I am content planning for a session highlighting creative ways people are using Tessitura that is outside of the box. Ie. HR, production, artistic, rentals, merchandising, etc? If so, please point me in the right direction. I am looking for presenters.
Thanks!
Jessy
Hello Jessy
We use Tessitura for a number of areas, soem of it is standard functionality just being used in areas where people have struggled or to alleviate a business issue:
Groups: The team have developed a report that shows where all of a particular group are seated in the auditorium. We can then meet the group when they enter the venue, give the organiser a seating plan showing all their seats highlighted on it and show them to their seats. It has made the experience for both the team and the customer a lot better.
Restaurant bookings (for pre theatre): Bookings are taken by tciketing staff either at the time tickets are sold to teh customer or they can add to their order later. This information is then transferred across to our restaurant system. It means that the ticketing staff can take bookings without having to direct people to another area and we have the business intelligence on who is booking tixs and meals.
Lost property: We log lost property on the system and then can see who found it, what's been lost and hopefully once reunited with its owner, who the item belongs to. It is just a system to help us manage the area (rather than a spreadsheet) plus it gives us a nice touche like a staff member saying to a customer that we are pleased that we were able to get them their item they lost to them.
Pre ordered programmes: Customers can buy a voucher for a show as they buy their tickets. They can then pay for it in the same transaction and then can just hand a voucher in when they visit to a seller and get a programme.
Car Parking: Car parking can be paid for in advance, its 10% cheaper if paid for in this way. They get a voucher which they redeem, they can pay for the car parking all in advance and in the same transaction as their tickets.
Access scheme: To receive a discount on their tickets as customer with a disability the customer needs to join the Access Scheme buy meeting the specific criteria. This is set up on the system so that we automatically know they are members of teh scheme, when they need to renew and there is no confusion over what level of discount that they are entitled to.
Gift vouchers in our food & beverage outlets: We are just deploying this functionality that will run on a smart phone or tablet. At present gift vouchers have been diffiult for the team to allow use in the F&B areas. The customer comes to an outlet that doesn't have Tessitura access, which means that they'd need to go to teh ticket office to check the gift voucher or ring them to say that its been used and to check how much value is left on it. So our team have developed a web interface running off a smart device that allows the operator to check if a gift certificate is valid, how much is on there and then to redeem it all or part of it.
We use the system for various other parts of our business but I think that most of those uses are standard functionality just being used for different things.
Hope it helps.
David.

We are running into the same issues with the gift certificates in our food and beverage as well as retail areas. would we be able to speak to someone about how your app is working and how it is set up?
Thanks
