Live to Test Copy

Hi,

I am trying to take a Live to Test copy ,I guess I am doing it right but still unable to add a credit card number to a record ( Error : the account number is invalid).

I have done the following steps:

Stoped all the services

Delete the databases impresario and impresario_cci and recreated them ,changed the ownership.

ran the scripts key.sql,sp_securecheck.sql and automated password reset.

security - drop and create logins( I am unable to delete 2 users: owner of 3 jobs ,jobs need to reassigned or deleted before deleting the user) CHECKED THE KNOWLEDGE BASE AND COULD NOT FIND ANY.i am unable to login anymore using these users.

started all the services.

made apropriate changes in t_defaults table.

Finally I am unable to add a new credit card to the record.

I have gone to this procedure 4-5 times now but still the problem persisted.

However we use to have the test  server in the workgroup earlier but they have moved the test server to the domain (if this might be the reason)

Any suggestions would be highly appreciate.

    We had a similar problem recently...the trouble for us were the users that we could not delete - turns out that they had failed jobs in SQL Server Management Studio - had to delete the failed jobs, then could delete the users - then drop and add logins.  We worked with Liz at Tess to correct the problem...you might want to contact her or Tess help for more assistance with your trouble.

    I also forgot to mention that the other fix for the credit card numbers, involved resetting the encryption on the database.  Ryan from Tess Help assisted us with that, so you might want to check with him.
