T-Stats and Symantec Endpoint

Hi Mo,

We use Kaspersky here; however, I have worked with Symantec Endpoint Protection extensively in the past. From what I recall, this software has multiple components designed to provide protection on clients, with antivirus being just one of those components. My recollection is that I had the most trouble with their Network Access Control component; my theory based on past experience is it is that Network Access Control component interacting in some way with the calls that T-Stats client is trying to make to SSAS.  In my prior job, we actually reached a point where we disabled this one component of SEP by default because it caused more trouble than it was worth.

If you haven’t done so already, I would try just disabling the Network Access Control component of SEP to see if that resolves the issue.

Our T-Stats (v3.0) runs very slow while opening up an existing workspace with a report attached. If we switch off the Symantec Endpoint antivirus from the problem workstations, T-Stats works just fine. We tried by creating an exception for T-Stats in the Symantec Endpoint at the workstation level but it did not help. Have anybody faced this before and found a solution for it?
