locked_by

Random question here - TX_PERF_SEAT.locked_by - what is that? I always figured that was a batch number, but only just looked at the numbers. Clearly not batch numbers.

Random answer – I think it’s the Seat server session id for the session that has its claws in the seat, from memory.

When you look at the seat map and see a locked seat, you right click and select Database Seat Number, if it is locked at the end of this screen will be a “locked_by” number. That is what you use to unlock a seat with the TP_CLEANUP_CONNECTION procedure.

  • Our IT dept wrote a report for the Ticketing Managers to put in the locked_by # to unlock seats.  It sure beats calling up IT on their days off!
