Tessitura.ini and Windows 7

We are having an issue with new PCs Windows 7 dealing with ticket printing. We keep getting ... Can't set printer to default.

The users have full control to the Tessitura.ini file through a local users security group and we have tried giving the user explicit permissions. We have tried putting the file in system32 and in the root of C but have a feeling that Windows 7 doesn't allow writing to files in these locations. Anybody else had this issue or know a work around?

Thanks,

Parents

  • Not sure if this is exactly the same as Windows 7 but we put the Tessitura.ini file in local user profiles.  They should be able to then edit the ini file from this location.  You will need to create a logon script to copy the files to this location but the users should be able to edit it from this location.

In the target of the tessitura shortcut you will need to put something like this T:\Startup\Tessitura_Start.bat " C:\users\%username%\tessitura.ini

Not sure if will work 100% but could be a solution.
