Upgrading network - recommendations

I would like ot know if there is a "recommended" hardware structure for Tessitura for v11 and forward. We are looking at upgrading our environment to support v11, and I would appreciate hearing from others that are running consortiums on how they have built out their racks. In our environment we have physical separate servers for each "component"; Live, Test, CC Server. I know a large number of organizations virtualize now, so what all are you including in your virtualized servers? Are you putting Live, Test and CCServer all in one machine? Are you running 64bit on clients as well? I appreciate all brain dumps. Thanks! Randy

  • Hi Randy,

Here's a link to the version 11 hardward requirements document that might be helpful. My clients run both 32-bit and 64-bit system from XP to 7. I'm running physical servers for CC, Live, and Test. The Live and Test servers are in the process of being upgraded to Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit architecture. CC server is currently running on Server 2008 R2. Gateway server is virtualized via Hyper-V within a Server 2008 R2 environment. The entire organization has been very please with this setup thus far but some changes are in the works so stay tuned.  I encourge you to attend the "Virtualization and Beyond" conference session on 7/21 from 10:45 - noon. I along with some great Tessitura minds have put together a really good session on this topic.
