Tessi client

Having trouble with one particular PC and reinstalled Tessi client.

Checked all the usuals things; approprate folders and files, the 'path' etc .... even installed SQL Server manager...

After the "synchronizing files" it gets an error; never gets to the login screen. The error is :

CONNECT ERROR

Secure Check not done. Cannot connect to the Database !

Error:

Invalid OLE DB  provider name specified.

Thanks,

  • Bob,
    Thanks for the reply. We did check all that and though our PC's are pointed to the Master ini file on Data, which does have the OLE DB statement
    in it - we added it to that individual PC, - didn't change anything.
    Upon reviewing my message below, I see I failed to mention that that PC was 'repaired' (after a virus removal) so the issue may not be so much
    Tessitura as an issue with damaged registry or file relating to OLE DB ?!?!? - got any gurus like that at your end !?
    The only other option I see is to format the that PC (ouch ! - has many unique apps..) and start from scratch ....

    Thanks,

    John

    It sounds like there is a problem with the local tessitura.ini file on this workstation.  Check to see that the following entry exists in the [sqlca] section:
    dbms=OLE DB

    If this is not the problem, please submit a help ticket and Support will be happy to help you determine the cause of the problem.
