Autosized rows in Infomaker sometimes appear cut off

Hey, everybody! We have an issue with Infomaker text fields that are set to autosize height. Often, they will be cut off -- the last row of text (no matter how many rows the field ends up needing) will have the bottoms of the letters missing. Sometimes just the very bottom so you can still tell what it says, other times most of the letters are gone so you can't read it.

This happens more often than not. Sometimes it's different when you save as a PDF or print, other times it isn't. Sometimes one person will have the issue, and then another person looking at the same report won't. But it's not like there are people or machines that never have the issue. Right now I've just made a report where I am seeing this issue to the point that the line is unreadable, and Margaret ran the report and had the full line of text -- but normally Margaret has the issue on most reports that have an autosized field.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

  • Andrea, I'm afraid to say that this is unfortunately an issue I've spent numerous occasions trying to solve, but have never found a foolproof method.  The data-window seems unable to auto-size the text boxes correctly, with trailing text.

If you have a "known" set of longer text lengths, you can try to have the text box expand automatically using an expression on the Height property (in lieu of using the AutoSize property), but I've only had mixed results.
