I have two Boca printers, both of which are now either spitting out two blank tickets arbitrarily between legitimate ticket printing, or spitting out half a ticket and jamming. I'm trying to determine if I should take on the expense of shipping one of the printers back to Boca Systems to be serviced/repaired or if I should just invest in a new printer. Can anyone shed any light as to whether this may just be a characteristic of an aging Boca printer, or am I just lucky enough that both printers happen to be malfunctioning in the same manner.
Thanks!Maggie
We are having a slightly different problem and I was wondering if anyone out there had seen this and had a fix. One of our Bocas has changed its print length, so it prints tickets that are 2/3rd the size and don't match up with the perforated edges. I have a trouble ticket open with Boca, but thought I would see if anyone had a fix I could try sooner. Our working Boca has a print length of 1100, while the other now has a length of 818. I can't see any settings that would obviously fix this...
Thanks in advance for any help,
Boann
Boanne,
You may consider downloading the "BOCA Systems Customer Interface Program" directly from their site and install it on a system that has access to the printer. The program will allow you to send a serious of commands to the printer to adjust the length. I'm not sure what the commands would be or if that will resolve your issue, but Ted in BOCA Support always has me start with it.

Look here for all of the info about setting ticket length: http://www.bocasystems.com/documents/fgl41c.doc
I would suggest setting it back to automatic. If it is already set to automatic than you may have a faulty optical sensor.
