Has anyone out there had any issues with running anti-virus on their seat and credit card servers?

We have switched to VIPRE and it will occasionally hang up our servers when it updates its data.  I believe, though, that the techs can specify certain processes/services to “ignore” (such as the SQL services) so we don’t have as much trouble as we initially did, but it still hangs a server once in a while.

  • We use CA eTrust and I have all of the Transcend Process and directories on the so not scan list.  We haven't had any issues with the AV interfering with processes on the server.  That being said I am not particularly fond of eTrust and would not recommend it.
