It has been a business decision for a very long time to not create Constituent Records without a Mailing Address. Given how the world now communicates, I am feeling that that this business decision may be outdated. I am curious how many sites/users do not require a mailing address and only an email in order to create a Tessitura Record? How many sites have switched protocols and were their issues with this change?
Thanks
Hi Julie:Thus far, we've only opted to create Constituent Records with Mailling Addresses. Part of the reason for this decision was based in the need for tax acknowledgments. (I'm about to ask questions to do with collecting email information in custom tables, but assume you've already thought through all that. So I won't.)
Happy Friday! Kind, Mark
If a transaction is involved we are sure to collect address information if at all possible, however like Florida Grand Opera there are some situations where we find this not to be an option. We have a standard fake address we use for these accounts online and in-house, and we have various "bogus address" suppressions we use to ensure these accounts are not included in mailings.
