Hello! We use an app called Mobile ID to generate OTPs to log into Tessitura. It occurs to me this could be a problem if someone lost / broke their phone. Does anyone know of a work around to generate OTPs without the mobile app? Thank you!-Jane (she/her)
There is stil the physical "Fish" tokens. You can have physical and mobile configured at the same time.
Other than that, once lost/boke phone/device replaced then have to remove old mobile token and setup new one.
I believe that there is a desktop version but one would need to stay on the same terminal (maybe ip but not sure)
MobileID is also available for desktops. https://support.deepnetsecurity.com/visit.asp?pg=download/mobileid
We looked at the desktop version for a user that didn't have a cell phone. But we have multiple locations so it wasn't going to work for us
But it might be an option for you if your users always use the same computer.
This happened to someone in our Ticket Office, they forgot their phone at home. What I did: I gave the ticket office staff 3 unassigned fishy tokens. If this ever happens again, they grab a an unassigned token, they contact our internal support team with the serial number and we walk them through assigning them that token on the self service portal.
