Purging Old Constituent Records

With all of the concern about storing personal data, I am wondering how other Tessitura organization are handling old constituent records that have had no activity in the last 5 or X number of years.

Are you purging them? What is the criteria you are using.

Thanks in  advance for your feedback.

  • I know we have a significant number of customers who purchase on very irregular schedules like that.  I was one before I started working here!  The data we have is pretty low-stakes stuff, unless user passwords are somehow cracked, which shouldn't be possible.  If we had more significant data I'd certainly consider purging that (as we do for payment card tokens).  Although we don't have a specific policy, we have cleared out long-unused logins in the past.
