FTP via SQL

Has anyone successfully been able to send a file with FTP via SQL and xp_cmdshell? I have found an old procedure written by Chuck AT_FTP_FILE, which was last updated in 2007, but am unable to get it to work.

It may have been something to do with the way 'echo' is handled.
