Back in the before-times, pre-March 2020, we had a Boca printer, usually reserved for large batches, that could print all of the tickets in a batch in one continuous strip, without pause. We have now re-opened, and some of our Box Office staff remembers this feature, and want it back, but now none of our Bocas is behaving this way.
According to the docs, if we uncheck "Pause after each order", we should see "When the box is not checked all orders are printed without pause.", but we get "When both boxes are unchecked, each ticket is printed and cut individually".
Tess support suggests that there may be a setting on the Boca itself that could affect this, but can provide no detailed guidance.
Does anyone have a Boca that behaves this way, and would be willing to share their settings?
Thanks.
It has something to do with Guillotine. I accidently had this setting on for a gala! Yikes. So I remember it well. Let me see if I can find it.
Only Cut Tickets Between Orders in Preferences.

Thanks for your reply, but we do have that unchecked.

That's interesting. I found an old Boca PDF manual and it doesn't contain that word. Does it appear in your "operator menu"?
I found this in the BOCA "programming guide" documentation.
Thanks for that. Found the doc, I think. Definitely looks like "<q>" if the command we want to send to the printer to cause it to print and not cut. Any idea where/how this command is issued? The documentation assumes quite a bit of knowledge.
Hi. For our BOCA we have to change the MICRO/MINI setting from the Menu button. Then choose Choices button to change. Micro turns off the cutter and Mini turns on the Cutter.
Hope that works for you.
I've not ever changed settings on a BOCA, I just happen to be looking all things BOCA up due to special character issues. I would try BOCAs site.bocasystems.com/repairs.html
Thanks for this suggestion. We're testing this change now...

It took a bit, but I received confirmation today: your suggestion resolved this for us. Thank you!
