Hello. Can anyone tell me how to pull a list for a particular show that would only include first-time ticket buyers? I found some instructions on this forum that were more than 10 years old, so not sure it would apply to the newer versions of Tessitura.
Hi Regina,
There might be an easier way to do this, but I've accomplished this using an extraction and suppressing everything before that show, using constituencies and/or ticket history.
You can then save the inclusion segment to a list if you need to have it in list manager.
Pulling people who have only bought tickets to that show should be pretty easy. If they have possibly bought tickets to shows after that, or possibly at the same time, I don't know off-hand how I would do it.
Performance Date doesn't help because they could buy a ticket to a later performance first, and afterwards come back and buy the more immediate event. Not really coming up with something that wouldn't require a manual query.
In Lists, an option would be to add criteria for
This is asking for constituents that have only attended 1 event, and they've attended the show in question, thus that show is the only show they've attended. To Gawain's point, if you need to report first timers for an event that's well in the past, this won't work for anyone who has purchased again since that first show. Those constituents will have more than 1 Unique Perfs.
Alternatively, in the Tessitura Analytics, CONSTITUENT dimension of fields, you can find both First Performance Name and First Performance Date. Filter on either or both of these to the desired show.
Thanks all for the advice - so when I selected Unique Performance with the date, and eliminated all the other shows, this is the message that Tessitura generated:
"The value for UpdatedDateTime property in the request doesn't match the current UpdatedDateTime for the resource. The resource might have been updated since you last retrieved it. Please get the latest version of the resource, merge your changes and try again."
Can anyone translate this into English?

This was the "Ticket History Unique Perfs" element? That element only takes a whole number, not a date. Or are you using Ticket History Perf Date?
Thanks Chris. I'm attempting this exact thing right now but my list keeps capturing patrons where their ticket history DOES have more than 1 unique perf. Not sure why.
