Tessitura-Related Positions and Organizational Structure

I'm very curious to know how other organizations are structured in terms of Tessitura-related roles especially at the management level. Is there one (or more?) person who has oversight and management of all things Tessitura? If so, what is their title and whom do they report to? Do you have a division/department separate from IT that is responsible for Tessitura/CRM? I'm particularly interested in hearing from small to mid-size organizations - staff of 30-50 and annual budget of $5-10mil. What about the job title for people who "do it all" at smaller organizations - oversight, database administration, application specialist, new feature implementation, integrations (email/web), data analysis and reporting, training, etc.)

Thanks!

  • I’m the “do it all” Project Mgr for Tessitura/technology. We have 50 staff, budget $6M. Our IT dept is out sourced. The Registration dept uses ActiveNet so class data/revenue is in a separate database. I started as the Box  Office Manager and now my title is System Services Manager with one part time Box Office Specialist direct report. I report to the Director of Administration which also oversees the Patron Services team. I work closely with Marketing, Development and Finance departments. We are on RAMP and TNEW so I don’t handle back end technical aspects. I build the ticketing season, train ticket sellers, schedule upgrades and evaluate new functionality. The Development Mgr handles the campaign build, Plans, ack letters. We are working together to implement Analytics. Besides Tessitura I also coordinate technology across all departments. I buy new laptops and implement MS Office upgrades, with help of our virtual IT dept. I’m evaluating the MindBody app for our education department to increase drop in fitness class attendance. My responsibilities have morphed through the years. I’ve worked in Box Offices for 25 yrs, been a Tessi super user for the past 15 yrs, worked here at COCA for 10 yrs. We’re building a new theater and my role could  change again to oversee concessions and merchandise. Who knows?!
