Is anyone observing that PDFs generated by Tessitura (v. 15.1.3) are not readable on newer iPhones or iPads?
Yes, This was an incompatibility between the old PDF creation software in Tessirua / infomaker that was introduced in on iPhones & iPads when IOS 13 was released. Apple introduced a version of the Preview software that produced lots of dots rather than text.
There is a post from Patrick Schley (Past Staff Member) somewhere around the site about this issue.
The suggestion is to load the Acrobat Reader app on the device and open the files with that software rather than the iOS 13 built-in Preview software. This works OK for me but is a number of extra steps.
Clarke, this issue was a topic of discussion on the Reporting & Analytics Forum a few months ago and appears on the Release Notes identified by the key DEV-2707 where the Release Note is:
"There are two different issues contributing to this problem, one related to the version of Powerbuilder utilized by Tessitura and the other related to a defect in Apple iOS 13+. This issue will be resolved with an upgrade from Powerbuilder 2017 to Powerbuilder 2019 which will be implemented with the Tessitura v16.0 release. Apple's technical Support team confirmed that this PDF rendering problem is a known issue in their tracking system with iOS 13+ that may be addressed in a future iOS update which would resolve this problem with Powerbuilder 2017 and therefore in Tessitura v15.1+."

Bob & Tom, thanks! That gives me a way to fix it for now, and hope for the future.
