Hi
I had a merge fail with the following error message that I have never seen before:
Merge (Kept Constituent 7273802, Delete Constituent 7403090) failed : Error 50000, Severity 11, State 2, Procedure AP_DELETE_ACCOUNT_DATA, Line 165, The selected account cannot be deleted because it is being referenced elsewhere in the system.
Does anyone know how to resolve this so the accounts can be merged? The delete account was a test account created for one transaction that was refunded so I can't figure out where else in the system it would be referenced.

Weird. ACCOUNT_DATA basically means "credit card", so I assume that's what it's refusing to delete, but I'm not sure why it wouldn't just transfer the card to the keep constituent.

I have a support ticket open at the moment re: dupe CC's being left on post-merge constituents causing errors on TNEW.
The above error feels related...
I took a look at the procedure that can throw that error (AP_DELETE_ACCOUNT_DATA), and I'm not 100% on this but it looks like what it does is find if there are open pledges, orders, and invoices on ANY customer that also owns the card that its trying to delete. So if you are merging a test account, is it possible that you used a credit card for that account that also exists elsewhere in the system, on a different customer that has an open pledge, invoice, or unpaid order?
Just yesterday I figured out that the card on the test account is also attached to a payment schedule on an order in the real account so I think that is the issue. The other thing I found though was that the card cannot be removed from the test account. I get the same error that the card cannot be deleted because it is being referenced somewhere else in the system. Does anyone know a way around this or am stuck waiting until the order is fully paid before I can merge these accounts?
ThanksJess

I've dealt with many dupes and have never heard of this as a requirement to merge accounts. Still wonder if there's a bug appearing here. I'd open a TASK ticket about this if I were you.
