Proper disposal for "dead" tokens?

The Deepnet documentation doesn't mention what to do with a dead token; would love to know how to properly dispose of ours!

  • Thanks, Sandra!  Here’s a question:

Is there a way to recover a token that seems to still have life, yet displays “No seed” or does not cooperate when trying to sync.  We’re on RAMP, and some tokens will not sync, even though RAMP staff have taken extra steps in addition to the steps taken onsite to help sync the token.

  • Hi Laura,

Unfortunately, once a token says "no seed" or refuses to stay in sync no matter how many attempts are made, it's dead. If the battery still has good life, you may want to hang on to the battery as a spare; but you can recycle the remainder. Be sure to follow the instructions in the Deepnet manual when changing batteries, in order to keep your working tokens in sync.

Please do open a TASK ticket when you've got deceased tokens, so that we can talk about replacements and adjust the number of live tokens we've got on record for your organization.
