Leaving an organisation - wrap-up procedures?

I'm leaving my role next week after 5 years in the company.

Other than transferring my scheduled reports to another staff member, are there any other things that I should do as best practice to wrap things up? Should I do the same with output sets? Anything I should delete/clean-up to help my colleagues?

Any advice appreciated!

  • Hi Kate!

    Just a couple things.

Do you have any outstanding reminders/plan steps that need to be re-assigned?

Are there any daily, weekly, or yearly tasks you perform that need to be pointed out to someone? Honestly it’s the little things you do on a day that can make a difference if nobody don’t know you do them

Do you have any “special” patrons? Do you do anything special with their accounts that are out our your organizational box? (I have a special bunch that never fit in)

    Best of luck to you

  • Start making a list of everything you do during the day, even the little things.  And, if someone internally is stepping into your role, work with them to train (if you can/if that’s feasible).  Otherwise, make as many instruction/how to documents as you can!  As others mentioned, are there things you do on a regular schedule that others might not know of?  Do you have a non-standard way of completing tasks?  Do you have historical knowledge that has informed setup/usage of Tessitura?  Anything you can write down would be of so much use to your soon-to-be-former organization, and whoever will be filling in!

    Cheers,
