Tess Fish Policy

We are interested in learning what the policies are for other Organizations regarding Tessitura Fish.  Since allowing employees to take Fish home with them is not an option (or not a great option) what are your policies for Tessitura Fish?  Some ideas we have already read about are:

- Employees are responsible for keeping their Tess Fish at their work desk and once a month IT checks to ensure they have their Tess Fish and it's in a location that's easy for the employee to find

- Employees are responsible for picking up and dropping of their Tess Fish in a designated location (Reception/IT Desk, etc.) each day

Are there other ideas/suggestions?

  • I agree with Dot and Nancy. When I was at the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony we had a written policy that employees were responsible for their fish and if it was damaged or lost they are responsible for the cost of a new fish. We included this in the same document that new employees sign when they're assigned their keys and/or access pass for the building, and it includes their token number. This way we have a record of token numbers kept on file in a reliable HR location (i.e. not a random piece of paper in my desk somewhere).
