Hello! I've been tasked with doing some research on the possible use of another database program to store a very wide range of event details. Types of information include but are definitely not limited to:
We considered looking at what could be used in Tessitura but not all staff has or needs access to Tessitura and we would like this database to be accessible to all staff to some degree. The current version of this database is an Excel spreadsheet that has evolved over the course of our nearly 40 year history (it originally lived on note cards that were filled out before we had computers).
Does anyone else have a one-stop shop like this? If so, are you using Tessitura or another program? Who set up the database and how is it managed/accessed?
I appreciate your input!
JW
Hi JW
Sounds like you really need an Event Management system to manage the full event/booking data.
You could look at Artifax, which has some integration pre-built with Tess, (and there's an Artifax Group here on the TessWeb.)
or Ungerboeck (aka EBMS), which some Tess-folk use (mostly the big PACs - it's industrial-strength).
And there are others, of course - that's just the two i'm a bit familiar with.
Ken
Thank you, Ken! I will definitely check both of those out.
Since this post was three years ago, I am wondering if there are additional options for Event Management. We are currently using Google Forms/Sheets and would like something robust that integrates with Tessitura. Something that has the least amount manual entry and changing of funds from ticket revenue to donation/contribution.
