AWS

Hello World,

We here at the Seattle Opera are wondering if there are any other organizations who have tried hosting their Tessitura servers on AWS (Amazon Web Services).  We are thinking of putting our Test servers there to experiment with finding out why our website is slow.

  • Hi Stuart,

Our IT Director and App Manager are in the midst of this sort of thing.  At the moment neither our Test or Live db servers are on AWS, but we have a second test instance up there with which we're in the process of troubleshooting connectivity.  I believe their eventual goal is to get both Live and Test in on Azure servers.

Feel free to email me direct and I can connect you with those who can speak to this more intelligibly.

    best-

    frannie

  • We've been running our website in the AWS stack for about 3 years now and couldn't be happier with it. We are also now in the process of setting up a DR site in AWS.  We are replicating all of our Tessitura servers to AWS in real-time and will have the ability to bring them up when we need them.  We can definitely see the possibility in the future of going all AWS and ditching our current data center.  All of the components that you need to run Tessi will work in AWS. If you have any specific questions or want to chat more about it, I'd be happy to talk with you.
