Ticket printers and Windows Server 2012 R2

Hi everyone.  I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 system I'm testing right now to see how Tessitura and that OS work together.  I've run into a few snags and wanted to ask about one of them.

For some reason generic text only printers do not show up in the Tessitura RemoteApp program as available ticket printers.  If I go to File > Printer Setup it shows up in there but if I go to Tools > Preferences there are no options for me to choose from in the Default Ticket Printer drop-down.

I've verified that there's a Generic Text Only printer driver for 32-bit and 64-bit OS's in Print Management on the server.  I can't figure out what it is that's keeping these types of printers from being available to Tessitura as ticket printers.

Any ideas?

  • Hi Dmitrij.  Thanks for the reply and the idea.  I have only one printer queue for a boca printer on my computer and it's not coming through.  In my case it's a local printer that I setup using the Print to File option (so I don't actually have a printer to print to).  However, this problem is happening with everyone whether they have a USB boca, a parallel boca, a serial boca, or a network boca.  It's really quite bizarre.  I didn't have this problem at all with Server 2008 R2, but I've had this problem from the get-go with Server 2012 R2.

    Any additional thoughts or ideas?
