Technology use survey?

First this is an interesting idea.  I do not believe that we have done this. 

However, do you have access to the NOREX service.  They might have some of this information in their document repository.  Your CIO / director IT or equivalent may have access to these resource if he/she is part of CIOArts.

Hello Tessi-friends:

As part of some strategic planning conversations we are interested in surveying our staff (either individually or departmentally) to find out:

• Their current use of and familiarity with our current technology resources
• Anticipated future technology needs (hardware, software, new systems, etc.)
• Any "what-if's" regarding their department's activities and how technology can play into that

Has anyone done anything similar within your organization? Did you find it to be effective? Does anyone have any survey questions they might be interested in sharing?

Thanks, Tom… I had not heard of CIOArts before. We don’t really have an IT director, but I may look into that organization a little more closely for a lot of reasons!
