Successfully scanned TNMP barcode?

I was wondering if anyone had successfully scanned a TNMP barcode off the phone with a Mc55?

  • I can't speak directly to TNMP; but a phone barcode should scan just fine with the MC55; we do it all the time with our normal PAHT.

The only hiccup with this is that the brightness of the screen sometimes needs to turned up (and if it's programmed right an app should do this automatically when on a barcode screen) which is why we haven't gone full scale with a phone option.

I've actually gotten pretty good at laser-ing the auto brightness sensors on quite a few phones to avoid even asking the patrons in these situations.

    TL;DR:

Barcodes scan on phones as long as the brightness is up, haven't used TNMP, though.

  • Scanning directly from TNMP is a no go. Scanning the barcodes that are emailed from TNMP (share with a friend) scan, but it seems odd that you can't scan from the My Tickets in TNMP.

  • Hi Travis,

TNMP is designed so that you can scan the My Tickets bar code directly from the phone. As Christopher mentioned, the brightness of the screen has to be all the way up to it's brightest setting. If you are still having troubles, can you please open a TASK ticket in the Web Products workspace and we can troubleshoot with you directly?

    Thanks!

  • We have discovered that there are several different kinds of scanner heads that can be bought with an mc 55. What we call 1d (produce a single red line of laser light) an 2d (produce a "+" and larger scanning pattern.) We have discovered that the 1d scanners will not read Mobile devices however the 2d scanners will read Mobile devices. Most scanners sold through the Tessitura Network seem to be the 2d scanners. However, if you went on your own and did not know of this distinction and tried to keep the prices lower you might have ended up with 1d scanners. Based on our research if this is your case you may find that you can't upgrade the MC55s from 1d to 2d scanner heads.

    Hope that may help.

  • I am wondering how to test My Tickets bar code  - we are not able to go LIVE with it as of right now ( our tablets are on TNMP because of Flash design on the main site). Any suggestions?
