My museum used to be able to input our Volunteers hours into Altru (our previous CRM) on a monthly basis. We would keep daily track in an Excel sheet, add each volunteer's hours up at the end of the month, and put that number under their specific Constituent profile. We have not been able to easily locate an option in Tessitura to do that.
Is there an option in Tessitura that will allow us to keep a record of each Volunteer's monthly volunteer hours? If there is, does it involve a lot of steps to get it set up?
There isn't an easy out-of-the box solution for this. We had a custom screen created for it. There is an associated report as well.
Ok. Thanks for the info. Did Tessitura build it for you or did your in-house team figure it out? Basically I need to know how to build it myself, but I don't know how.
Michael Flaherty-Wilcox at Tessitura built it for us.
I think there used to be this sort of thing in shared reports as well, but I'm not sure if its still there or still compatible.
I perused the forums yesterday and it seemed like the only mentions of volunteer management was from 13 years ago, so not exactly helpful with more recent versions of the system.
I think the Managing Volunteers and Interns group is meeting up in a few days if that helps

I implemented the shared report back in 2007 and have tweaked it a little over the years. This was a nice shared report in its simplicity!
I'm happy to share my v15 version if anyone wants it, just email me at catherine@artsphilly.org.
This looks like exactly what we're looking for. Did you build it yourself or did Tessitura set it up for you? My museum is currently deciding if we should spend the money or not (as it is a huge expense) to have Tessitura customize something for us.
Chelsea Marti I pulled the original from the shared reports of an older version of TN.com back in 2007, and I'm assuming that version had been shared by another organization (or maybe the Network as an example?), and then over the years I've tweaked our version to have a few more bells and whistles. I'm happy to send you a copy if you want to check it out in your own environment, just email me at catherine@artsphilly.org.
I will definitely email you! Thanks!
